Sacramental Preparation

Children who are baptized may register for First Eucharist after two years of catechesis. Typically the preparation process begins when the child begins second grade. 

Registering Your Child for Sacraments   
To register your child please click on the "Register Your Child" button and submit the baptismal information requested for first communicants.

For those children not baptized at Holy Spirit, a photocopy of the child's baptismal certificate must be submitted to the parish office. If you do not have the certificate, please contact the church of baptism to request a copy.

Liturgical Ministry Roles

We all have gifts to bring God's love to one another through serving our parish community. As part of the First Communion preparation program children have an opportunity to share their gifts  with the Holy Spirit community by serving as an usher and greeter at mass twice a year. Blessing for those Preparing for First Communion

During the months when your child is preparing for First Communion, and especially as the day approaches, parents may use these words to bless their child.

(First Communicant's Name), may the Lord Jesus touch your ears to receive His Word, and your mouth to proclaim His teachings. May you come with joy to His Supper with the praise and glory of God. Amen.
